Wizz Air Suspends Dubai and Abu Dhabi Flights Until September 15 Due to Middle East Conflict

Wizz Air has announced the suspension of its flights to the United Arab Emirates, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi routes, between July 3 and September 15. This decision comes in response to the escalation of the Middle East conflict and the resulting airspace closures.

The airline emphasised that the safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft is its top priority. Previously, Wizz Air had been operating on alternative, longer routes with anticipated refuelling stops to ensure passenger safety, but the deteriorating situation necessitated the full suspension of these flights.

Customers who booked directly with Wizz Air will be notified via email and phone about the changes. For tickets purchased through online or offline travel agencies, customers are advised to contact their respective booking office. Affected passengers have the option to request a refund or rebook their tickets.

It’s worth noting that Wizz Air had previously suspended its Tel Aviv and Amman flights until September 15 as well, due to ongoing tensions in the region.
