The Top Water Parks in the UK: Catch the Waves, Even in Gloomy Weather!
Despite its often-dismal weather, the UK is home to some excellent water parks. As outdoor parks can only operate for a few months, most top attractions are indoors. Ray Smegal of ProSlide notes that technology allows even the largest water rides to be adapted for indoor environments through creative design. Steve Rhys, formerly of FORREC, adds that the cost of indoor space is the main challenge, but clever solutions like layering rides can overcome this. Looking ahead, Great Wolf Resorts is set to open its first UK location in Oxfordshire, and Therme Manchester, a £413 million water park and wellbeing resort, is expected by 2028.
Our article explores nine of the top water parks across the UK, offering wave pools, flume rides, waterslides, lazy rivers, and splash zones.
