Respect is a fundamental part of South Korean culture, particularly towards elders and those of higher social status. When handing over money, a business card, or even a drink, always use both hands! Offering something with just one hand can be seen as disrespectful. The same rule applies when receiving something—it’s considered polite to accept it with both hands. This gesture reflects humility and respect, especially when interacting with older or higher-ranking individuals.
