Christmas in India

Indian Christians replace the Christmas tree with a mango or banana tree. They even decorate them with leaves! Traditions are adapted to local resources. Indian Christians often attend midnight mass, followed by a festive dinner, where traditional dishes such as biryani and various curries are served. Colourful lanterns and stars light up the streets and homes, adding to the festive atmosphere.
