How do they celebrate Christmas on the other side of the world?

In Australia, Christmas is the hottest time of year, so Christmas looks a little different. However, people follow the Anglo-Saxon tradition of decorating their houses with colourful lights and festive decorations in their gardens. The Christmas Bush, a tiny bush of red flowers, is very popular this time of year and is used to make wreaths and door ornaments. Instead of Christmas markets, festivals, and events are held during the festive season.

The story of Santa Claus is told to children that when Santa Claus arrives in Australia, he sheds his warm clothes, rests his reindeer and arrives at a surfboard or kangaroo. Families gather in gardens or on beaches to celebrate together, enjoying the warm weather and the unique Australian Christmas atmosphere.
